Grants
The National Freedom of Information Coalition has awarded CFOG a
John S. and James L. Knight Foundation grant of $8,000 to
fund development of a middle and high school curriculum on
Freedom of Information in Connecticut. CFOG is working
with the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission on this
project.

Thirty-fifth Anniversary
Celebration of the
Connecticut Freedom of Information Act
November 18, 2010
On November 18,
2010, CFOG held a reception and dinner at the
Omni New Haven
Hotel at Yale,
celebrating the thirty-fifth anniversary of the
Connecticut Freedom of Information Act.
Author and Journalist, Bob Woodward,
was honored as the 2010 CFOG
Walter Cronkite Freedom of Information Award recipient.

2009 Symposium on Media Coverage
and Democracy
On March 10, 2009,
CFOG held a symposium entitled '"Death or Metamorphosis of
the Fourth Estate?" The Impact of Declining Media Coverage on
Democracy and Government.' The moderator of the panel was Pat Sheehan, Chairman of the Connecticut Network (CT-N).
Panelists include: The Hon. Kevin Sullivan, C. Edwin Baker, Jon
Lender, Dean Pagani, and Christine Stuart.
